Budget Android phone by Motorola, The Moto G

Google owned Motorola Mobility has announced a new low-cost budget android phone with no contract, no SIM lock and totally unlockable boot-loader phone at a price of USD 179 for 8GB and USD 199 for 16 GB.
Motorola will enter into Indian market with a launch in early January of 2014.
The Motorola Moto G runs on Android 4.3 out-of-the-box and the Google-owned handset maker also 'guaranteed' that the smartphone will be getting the Android 4.4 KitKat by January 2014.

Hardware Specifications :

Although the MOTO G has not yet been launched in India but it may be priced between 11000 INR(USD169) to 12000 INR(USD199).
This phone targets the customer who need more features, big screen, good camera and better performance but financially they cannot afford high-end cell phones.
Literally MOTO G is targeting the mid class customers worldwide.
In Indian market there are already established players in this segment: Micromax and Karbonn.

Now android has changed the era of mobile computing so much that one can expect so many good features in a phone at this price.
So lets see what we will get out of this device.

  • CAMERA: 5 MP auto focus with LED flash, 1.3 MP front camera.
  • H/W INTERFACE: 1 microUSB 2.0 port, 3.5mm audio jack, Power lock button and the volume rocker buttons.

Lets Start the review as what it looks outside :

  • 4.5 inch display is quite larger and even handy to have it in your hands comfortably.
  • The HD 1280x720 resolution display shows the contents quite very well aligned in the display.
  • There is nothing much to be explained here.

Camera details of MOTO G :
  • It has an eye of 5 Megapixels camera with auto focus (Tap to focus) feature and lighten by an LED flash.
  • 5 MP pimary camera at this price is not bad at all as compared to other features.
  • It offers 720p video recording @ 30fps.
  • Other camera features are geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and HDR (High Dynamic Range).
  • And even with the front facing 1.3 MP camera you can still stay closer to your loved ones by making video calls.

Lets see what's inside :
  • As in a budget android phone if will be getting a Cortex A7 Quad core then it's really good (Not bad at all).
  • MOTO G is installed with 1 GB of RAM which will give the user a really good multitasking experience.
  • Although the internal storage is 8 GB or 16 GB but sadly the internal memory is not expandable.

  • Although it comes bundled with Android 4.3 out of box but it has been guaranteed by the manufacturer that it'll get the Sweeter Android experience by early 2014.



Wrapping up this post by saying that at this price point of view and the brands like Google and Motorola manufactured device is really a good steal for those who all are looking for a budget buying option and at the same time seek some reliability.
