Before going for the flashing make sure that you have the following things in hand to start with:
- Recovery image for your corresponding device from the following links:
TWPR recovery .tar file (ODIN flashing)
TWPR recovery .img file (If device is pre ROOTED)
- USB cable and USB drivers
- Enough time with a smart and cool brain
Flashing a Custom Recovery:
ODIN FlashingSTEP 1:
Power off your device. Turn on your device using the proper key combo to get into download mode and attach the device to your computer via a USB cable.
STEP 2:
Use the PDA tab or button to browse to and select the .tar file that you downloaded and flash the device. If you have already a ROOTED S6 then follow as below:
Run the following commands via adb shell or a terminal emulator app:
$ su
# dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img of=/dev/block/platform/15570000.ufs/by-name/RECOVERY
