Required files for CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM installation:

First of all you have to get the below recovery flashable ROM zip files from the below locations.
Always download the latest ROM file.

- CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM download link for Moto E 1st Gen
- Google Apps flashable zip download link
- If you want ROOT then the SuperSU package by chainfire

Installing CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM:

STEP 1:
Copy the ROM, GApps and SuperSU ROOT zip file to your phone(By using a USB cable or via adb push command).

STEP 2:
Enter into recovery mode by pressing your device specific key combinations.
Or else if you are on a pc, then type the following command:
$ adb reboot recovery
STEP 3:
If you have CyanogenMod 12 ROM then just wipe the Cache partition and jump to STEP 4.
Wipe system partition, cache, data and dalvik cache (Only if you are coming from KitKat)

STEP 4:
Select the Install Zip from SDcard option.
Select the CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM file, let the installation complete and then reboot.
Complete the initial setup, reboot to recovery and then flash the GApps package and reboot again to enjoy Android Lollipop 5.1 with CyanogenMod 12.1.

Three things that I liked the most of the phone is:
- At first place the Dolby ATMOS
- Secondly the 64-bit Octa-core Mediatek MT6752m SoC
- Last but not the leaset; price of the phone

Google today released Handwriting Keyboard with 82 language support for Android phones

Today Google has brought Handwriting Input in the latest keyboard release.
Google Handwriting keyboard works with devices running Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.3) and greater.
This supports input in both print and cursive writing in a 82 languages.

Some of the key advantages of Handwriting keyboard:
- Useful for languages that can be challenging to type on a standard keyboard
- Supports on ICS and greater version of Android (Which covers most of the devices to date)
- Easily writable rather than typing or speaking (voice input) a word

If you have customized your phone by installing any Custom ROM on your phone then rollback to stock OS to get the OTA.

Installing Resurrection Remix ROM:

STEP 1:
download the Resurrection Remix ROM, GApps and Copy these zip file to your phone memory (By using a USB cable or via adb push command).

STEP 2:
Reboot your phone into recovery mode
Or if you have a PC in hand with USB driver for your phone and fastboot binaries installed, then connect your phone to the PC and type the following command to enter into recovery mode:
$ adb reboot recovery
STEP 3:
If you are coming from any CM 12 ROM then SKIP THIS STEP and if you are coming from other ROM or KitKat ROM then follow as below:
If you are using CWM recovery then, do a factory reset, wipe cache and in mounts and storage section format system
If you are using TWRP recovery then, choose advanced in wipe section and wipe dalvik (If coming from KitKat), cache, system and data

STEP 4:
Install the ROM
Install the GApps package

The flashing may take a while.
When it will be done just reboot your phone, configure the initial setup and enjoy the beauty of Resurrection REMIX ROM and CyanogenMod 12.1 features.

Gionee Elife S7 launched in India for INR 24,999

The Elife S7 boasts a 5.2-inch FullHD Super AMOLED, MediaTek 1.7GHz octa-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, 13 megapixel rear camera, 8 megapixel front camera, dual SIM support with 4G support and 2,700mAh battery.
Gionee claims the battery life will sustain for two days.
The phone runs on the Gionee proprietary latest Amigo 3.0 OS based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Coming to the design this comes with body thickness of only 5.5mm, Gorilla glass front and back (similar to the the Nexus 4) and side magnesium alloy frame.

Gionee has today launched the new flagship phone, the Elife S7 in the Indian market at a price of Rs. 24,999 (Roughly 404 USD).
Gionee Elife S7 is available in black, white, and blue and is expected to be available shortly through offline retailers.
