ReVo-lution with the hard-disk less ReVo book
Introduction :
Think yourself what you would be doing (or have already done) when your Xth class examination is scheduled after half a month from today's date???Most appreciated answer will be studying hard for the examination... isn't it???
But this generation students are busy inventing stuffs.
AFREED ISLAM is such a student who has made a ReVo-lution with his german made ReVo book which runs without a hard disk.
Afreed, A student of Little Flower School, Hatigaon, who will be appearing for his Class X CBSE examinations beginning March 3, claimed that his invention (The Revo Book) replaced both mechanical (traditional HDD) and electronic hard disk drives (SSD) with a microchip that acts as the primary storage unit. (Similar to a mobile phone device storage, that uses a NAND flash storage.)
Revo Book comes with a dual operating system allowing a seamless use of both Windows and Linux-based software simultaneously on one device. The use of a chip he says minimises the risk of data loss or system crash.
If that was not enough to surprise you, Afreed has also developed his own Operating System and named it ReVo IX that comes pre-installed on the microchip for faster execution speed with built-in firewall.
Afreed has already applied for a patent for the stand alone operating system.
Furthermore he is currently in talks with a German company to manufacture the computer system on a larger, commercial scale.
