Here comes the 1st installment of this blog introducing a "to be released" game and the trend of providing Gaming related info has already been started with Microsoft Xbox One but the author believes that it has started NOW with this post.

As the author remembers that this blog was started with an introduction of Microsoft Xbox One a gaming console, and today comes the second post following the Gaming series, yet the first ever attrcation in this blog.
Here this blog post will introduce the all new Need For Speed: Rivals a new game in the long running series of Need For Speed.

Before just entering into details following is the release dates for different devices.

Release dates:

  • It is set for a November 19th, 2013 release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
  • The PlayStation 4 release is on November 15th, 2013 in North America and November 29th, 2013 in Europe.
  • The Xbox One release is on November 22nd, 2013.

About NFS Rivals:

Need For Speed: Rivals is an upcoming racing video game developed by Ghost games developers and Criterion Games developers.
This one is the 20th release in the long running game of Need For Speed.
All releases are being rendered using Frostbite 3 game engine developed by Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment (DICE).

Racing driver and YouTube celebrity Ken Block was announced to be Need for Speed's Racing Advisor, and Ken's racing livery will be made available for the Ford Mustang GT.

Gameplay:

  • Need for Speed: Rivals will feature similar gameplay to 2010's Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit release.
  • Players take on the role of a racer or a cop, with each side of the law offering its own set of challenges, risks and rewards.
  • Rivals will feature eleven upgradeable gadgets or weapons as mentioned below in the Weapons availability section.
  • The game takes place in the fictional Redview County, an open world area that's host to scraps between cops and racers.
  • The open world will feature a similar set-up to 2012's Need for Speed: Most Wanted, with several jumps, speed traps and unlockable cars.
  • The game also features a dynamic weather system, which is "going to make the world feel alive in a much bigger sense than any other Need for Speed game."

Weapons availability:

Players will be capable of using weaponry against other drivers depending on the faction (Either a Cop or a Racer) they represent.
There are a total of eleven available weapons with each being upgradable as the player progresses through the game.

Introducing the all new All Drive feature:

  • NFS: Rivals features a new social system called AllDrive, which allow players to seamlessly transition from playing alone, to playing with friends, described as "destroying the line between single player and multiplayer".
  • With the new All Drive feature, it brings together single and multi-player into one seamless experience so you can drive and race how you want.
  • This will allow players to in engage co-op gameplay as well as play against each other.
Three cops and three racers were pitted against one another starting at different points on the map, both with their own set of objectives.

Autolog feature:

  • The game uses Autolog, the competition-between-friends system developed by Criterion for Hot Pursuit, and since used in other titles in the Need for Speed series.
  • It will let players compare stats and challenge friends anytime, anywhere and share the accomplishments with both friends and rivals.

Available Cars:

  • With the exception of the Aston Martin Vanquish, other vehicles will only be available in either racer or police variant.
  • Ferrari will officially return to the NFS series in full form for the first time in eleven years since Hot Pursuit 2 in 2002 (although they've appeared in 2009's Shift as Xbox 360-exclusive downloadable content) with the F12berlinetta, 458 Spider, FF, Enzo, LaFerrari, F355 Berlinetta and 599 GTO being the only Ferrari vehicles confirmed so far.
