Installing CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM on Nexus 4:

STEP 1:
Copy the ROM zip and the GApps zip file to your internal memory (By using a USB cable or via adb push command).

STEP 2:
Reboot into recovery by pressing key combination or type the following command if you are on a PC:
$ adb reboot recovery
STEP 3:
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Format /system, clean Dalvik Cache (If you are coming from KitKat ROM) and then Format Cache

NOTE:
This step may delete all your data.
Consider backup your data out of your phone.

STEP 4:
Select the Install Zip from SDcard option.
Select the ROM zip file where you have kept in the SD card and do the same for GApps also.

Official nightly builds for Cyanogenmod 12.1 will be released very soon but not yet available for most of the devices.
But xda recognized developer mikegapinski has ported the Lollipop CyanogenMod 12.1 for Google Nexus 5.

Installing CyanogenMod ROM:

WARNING:
The Nexus 5 has no built in EFS backup partitions. EFS contains things like your MEID or IMEI... your data profiles.. radio settings.
The EFS cannot be replaced... it is unique to your phone only... backing up your OWN EFS is highly recommended.
I will not be responsible for the consequences if you will not go for the EFS backup.

STEP 1:
Copy the ROM and Gapps zip file to your SD card or internal memory(By using a USB cable or via adb push command).

STEP 2:
Reboot into recovery by pressing key combination or type the following command if you are on a PC:
$ adb reboot recovery

STEP 3:
Wipe Data / Factory Reset
Format /system, clean Dalvik Cache (If you are coming from KitKat ROM)
Format Cache
DO NOT WIPE YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE.

Installing Resurrection Remix ROM:


STEP 1:
download the Resurrection Remix ROM, GApps and Copy these zip file to your phone memory (By using a USB cable or via adb push command).

STEP 2:
Reboot your phone into recovery mode
Or if you have a PC in hand with USB driver for your phone and fastboot binaries installed, then connect your phone to the PC and type the following command to enter into recovery mode:
$ adb reboot recovery

STEP 3:
If you are coming from any CM 12 ROM then SKIP THIS STEP and if you are coming from other ROM or KitKat ROM then follow as below:
If you are using CWM recovery then, do a factory reset, wipe cache and in mounts and storage section format system
If you are using TWRP recovery then, choose advanced in wipe section and wipe dalvik (If coming from KitKat), cache, system and data

STEP 4:
Install the ROM
Install the GApps package

The flashing may take a while.
